Join us for Pin Cushion, an eerie and original family drama that explores parent-child relationships through a unique perspective.
Lyn and her daughter Iona move to a new town and are excited for the adventure ahead. Iona makes friends with the popular girls at school, while Lyn is learning to put herself out there and meet new people. However their relationship begins to strain and crack under the pressure of these new friendships, as they both come to realise that not all is what it may seem.
A directorial debut from British filmmaker Deborah Haywood, Pin Cushion is told through fairytale imagery, eccentric fantasy, and occasional lies. This visually stunning piece is an astute commentary on the complexity of womanhood and female friendship.
We will start the programme with short film ‘Bloodbound’ by Pablo Brown-Jennett before the feature.
