Pay As You Feel Launch

Last week Screen25 teamed up with South Norwood Community Kitchen (SNCK) to host a community discussion about Screen25’s new Pay As You Feel screening scheme. The meeting took place in Socca Cheta, a venue on Portland road.

Pay As You Feel

What is a pay as you feel screening you might be wondering? A pay as you feel scheme is designed to make customers pay any price for their ticket which they feel comfortable with. This will encourage people to come and enjoy cinema within a friendly community environment for all!

The Meeting

The meeting welcomed a large variety of the community, including SNCK regulars, Screen25’s audience members, as well frequent attendees of the Socca Cheta space; which is about to go through an exciting new redevelopment in the community's interest.

After a lovely lunch provided by SNCK, Katie (Screen25 Creative Director) introduced the cinema and explained the new strand to the attendee's and sparked up a conversation with the group. During the discussion we covered a large number of issues, including the kind of films that will be shown at the screenings, the best timing for the events, and the name of the strand.

Culture Seeds

The Pay As You Feel scheme is funded by the Mayor of London's Culture Seed’s grant. The grant is used to support community-led cultural projects around London.
